Fresh flowers blooming, dazzling colors blossoming all around, sunshine in the air — spring is just around the corner. Although it might have felt like January lasted forever, we’re already halfway through February and rounding the corner into brighter weather.

As the season changes, the Nashville area kicks off a number of popular festivals, celebrations, and events. Check out a few of the biggest spring happenings coming up in the next few months. Get involved with your Nashville community!

QuiltCon

A quilt and quilting materialsHosted by the Modern Quilt Guild, Quiltcon is a celebration of all things quilting, featuring quilting classes, social hours, seminars, and exhibits. The event brings in thousands of quilters and artists, with over 500 quilts on display from all around the world. Plus, there’ll also be vendors and exhibitors selling their various handmade wares!

Quiltcon kicks off at the Music City Center in Nashville on February 21st and lasts until the 24th. The festival is a great way to meet creators, celebrate art, and find a beautiful new piece!

Tin Pan South Songwriters’ Festival

The Tin Pan South Songwriter’s Festival is the largest songwriter festival in the world, bringing together more than 250 songwriters and acts to perform over 90 different shows across 10 venues in Nashville. The festival regularly books a few big-name performers, with past musicians including Thomas Rhett, Rhett Atkins, and Keith Urban.

This year’s festival lasts from March 26th to the 30th and promises a packed lineup and schedule. Tickets go on sale starting February 26th. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this popular Music City event!

Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival

A cherry tree in blossomMarking its eleventh year of operation, the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival is a totally free event celebrating the spring season and Japanese culture. The festival recently completed its goal of planting and mapping out 1,000 cherry blossom trees across the city, so every spring Nashville residents can look forward to the beautiful pink blooms.

The Cherry Blossom Festival takes places on April 13th this year in the Nashville Public Square. Events during the day include a Cherry Blossom Walk, various children’s activities, and a Pups in Pink Parade for the Nashville Humane Association!

Nashville Fashion Week

A model walking down a catwalkThe latest trends and creative talents of Nashville will gather for the ninth annual Nashville Fashion Week this spring, from April 2nd to the 6th. Fashion Week will feature a wide variety of designers, artists, and models, from local talent to professionals from around the country — all showcasing the best of the best fashion talent in the region.

Twenty designers will showcase their work over the four nights of the week. The festivities will conclude with one of the biggest highlights of the week, the Fashion Forward Gala. Tickets are currently on sale, so don’t miss out on your chance to stay in the know and celebrate local artists.
